EnerSys^® Re-Brands its ODYSSEY^® Ultimizer™ Chargers

READING, Pa., (December 14, 2007) – EnerSys^® recently re-branded the faceplates and packaging for its ODYSSEY^® Ultimizer™ chargers as part of an overall re-branding initiative for the entire ODYSSEY battery line.

The new faceplates and packaging will be visible across the entire line of ODYSSEY Ultimizer chargers, which include 6 Amp, single bank; 12 Amp, single bank; 25 Amp, single bank; 40 Amp, triple bank; 50 Amp, single bank; and 50 Amp, triple bank chargers for 12-volt batteries.  Each charger faceplate will include a list of compatible ODYSSEY batteries.

“Re-branding the faceplates and packaging of our ODYSSEY Ultimizer chargers keeps them consistent with the rebranding of our battery plaques,” said Dana Kowalski, marketing communications supervisor for EnerSys.  “The Ultimizer is an important product in maintaining the high performance level of ODYSSEY batteries.  It’s powerful enough to charge the battery quickly, but safe enough to leave connected indefinitely without damaging the battery.”

The re-branding initiative by EnerSys positions ODYSSEY batteries and related products in four market segments, including automotive/light truck vehicle (LTV), heavy duty/commercial, powersports and marine (Trolling Thunder/Marine Dual Purpose).  The result is that all plaques, faceplates and collateral materials have a consistent brand design that indicates to which segment the product belongs.

ODYSSEY Ultimizer chargers include a continuous trickle charge for batteries that will not be in use for extended periods, and sequential charging technology that keeps multi-bank chargers lightweight and compact.  The range of ODYSSEY Ultimizer chargers provides a charger for every ODYSSEY battery.
