EnerSys^® Introduces 75/86-PC1230 to ODYSSEY^® Battery Product Line

READING, Pa., (January 22, 2008) – EnerSys® recently announced the availability of its ODYSSEY® 75/86-PC1230 battery.  The dual purpose battery, designed for automotive/light truck and heavy duty/fleet applications, offers cyclic and starting, lighting and ignition functionality.

The ODYSSEY 75/86-PC1230 battery consists of a 12-volt, absorbed glass mat (AGM) design. The ODYSSEY battery design also offers the option of 75-side terminals and 86-top terminals. It provides 1230 cranking amps for five seconds at room temperature and a 90-minute reserve capacity. Additional specifications include a CCA (cold cranking amps) rating of 710 and a nominal capacity of 55 Ah at the 20-hour rate of discharge.

The ODYSSEY 75/86-PC1230 battery offers an AGM design (eliminating the need for an acid vent tube) and recycling of internal gas during operation and charging, making it safe for mounting inside passenger compartments and in any orientation except inverted. The rugged construction and endurance of rigorous testing makes the ODYSSEY 75/86-PC1230 battery exceptionally tolerant of mechanical abuse. EnerSys offers a four-year warranty on the ODYSSEY 75/86-PC1230 battery for all applications.
